Ardbeg Spectacular is a limited edition Islay single malt whisky, matured for the first time in rare port casks. The tasting notes are as follows:

Color: Sunset orange.

Aroma: A fragrant and aromatic bouquet with notes of lavender, vetiver and incense, followed by leather, wood smoke, mint and an almondy nuttiness.

Taste: The taste is full-bodied and oily with a salty, yet viscous texture. An explosion of salty, savory and smoky aromas such as eucalyptus oil, salted caramel, smoked pecans, creosote and tar unfold. Sweet notes of pear crumble and fudge are present in the background.

Finish: A long, lingering finish with hints of leather, salted caramel and a cooling menthol-like sensation.

This edition offers a complex interplay of smoky and sweet notes typical of Ardbeg, but with a unique depth and complexity due to the maturation in port casks.
