Color : Light gold

 

Nose: Fresh citrus notes (lemon peel, grapefruit)

Slightly sweet honey scent, mixed with a hint of vanilla
Subtle smoke, accompanied by maritime notes (salt, seaweed)
Some oak spice and green apples

Palate: Pleasant sweetness at the beginning, caramel and vanilla in the foreground

Fruity notes of pear, apple and ripe citrus fruits
A light but well-integrated smoke pervades, accompanied by a spicy oak note
Layered notes of black pepper and some maltiness

Finish: Medium length, with a mixture of fresh smoke, sweetness and some spicy oak

A hint of dried fruit and mineral freshness in the finish

Despite its young age, the Ardnahoe 5 year old shows a good balance between fruity, smoky and spicy notes, typical of a whisky from Islay.
