Aroma : Amber. Very sweet. Initially it's all caramel cream, caramelized fructose, wood sugar, toffee and fudge before some apple and peach comes through. With time, a charred note of bourbon with a nice dusty dryness. Has some strength to it.
Palate : The start is sweet and quite oily, and although the alcohol causes a slight tingle on the tongue, the result is a good mid-palate weight. The dry distillery character is still there, but there's a depth to it now that counters that. Water takes some of the various elements back, but adds some dried mint.
Finish : Deep and dark.
