The Tomintoul 14 Year Old 2009 PX Sherry Quarter Cask Finish is a single malt whisky from the Speyside region that was first matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks and then finished in specially selected Pedro Ximénez Sherry Quarter Casks.

 

Aroma : Deep and rich with aromas of chocolate fudge cake, maple syrup, dried fruit and cedar wood

 

Taste : Indulgent layers of maple pecan pie, chocolate ganache, raisins and roasted nuts intermingled with coffee grounds, tobacco and baking spices

 

Finish : Long and warming, leaving impressions of tiramisu, dark chocolate and Brazil nuts on the tongue.

 

The use of Pedro Ximénez Sherry Quarter Casks adds depth and complexity to the whisky, adding rich fruity notes that enrich the character of the whisky.
