The Ron Botran from Guatemala is not made from the molasses of the sugar cane, but from the famous fresh sugar cane juice, the Virgin cane honey. The ron (Spanish for rum) matures in natural wooden barrels, which were previously used as whisky or sherry barrels for years and whose barrel walls are combined with the high-quality Virgin cane honey over the course of the sometimes 30-year storage and maturation period to give them a flavorful note to achieve a fullness of aroma that is almost world-famous among connoisseurs. Bars around the world rave about the unique taste, which is not only revealed as a pure drink but also mixed for example with cola, ennobles every cocktail or long drink.
