This Auchroisk shows in a wonderful way how complex a whisky can become that has been matured in a wine barrel. The complexity is similar to that of a sherry barrel, but the flavors differ significantly.

 

 

 

Aroma : Very intense, berries, herbs, milk chocolate, flower meadow, perfume.

Taste: Sweet,oily, leather, dates, grapes, caramel, sparkling.

Finish: Very long, dried fruits, bittersweet,dry.
