Colour : A vibrant gold with hints of amber.

 

Aroma : The nose opens with an enticing blend of smoky notes and sweet fruit flavours. Smoky peat is present but not overpowering. There is a sweet maltiness accompanied by apples, pears and a hint of citrus. There are also subtle hints of vanilla and honey that add a pleasant depth to the bouquet.

 

Palate : On the palate, Ardmore 12 Years presents a balanced combination of smoke and fruit. The smoky character is still present, but it is balanced by sweet notes of honey, vanilla and malt. Fruits such as green apples, pears and citrus give the whisky a refreshing and fruity dimension. There is also a hint of spice that adds a subtle complexity to the flavour.

 

Finish : The finish is medium long and warms the palate with a light smokiness and a touch of oak. There remains a pleasant sweetness and fruitiness that accompanies the flavour to the end.

 

Conclusion : Ardmore 12 years House of McCallum is a balanced and appealing whisky that harmoniously combines both smoky and fruity elements. It is well suited to lovers of smoky whiskies who nevertheless appreciate a sweet and fruity note. This whisky is an excellent choice for social evenings or special occasions.
