The rum for the T.Sonthi Barbados is distilled from the molasses of the sugar cane on the namesake Caribbean island of Barbados. There it was aged for 10 years in former bourbon barrels made of American white oak (American Oak). Unusual for this blend is that is not produced in the Solera process, but real 10 years stored. This creates a complex flavor experience, with aromas of vanilla and toffee, as well as roasted nuts. This is joined by flavors of fruit, mild spices and sweet oak. 

T. Sonthi Barbados Rum is bottled at 40.0% vol. Alcohol content bottled. It runs under the designation of rum-based spirit, as it contains colorant and is re-sweetened and refined with 30g of sugar per liter.
