Aroma : 

An opening note of rich apples and pears provides the structure for this release. As the whisky begins to open, herbaceous fresh fruits make their way in. Subtle tones of honey and warming spices develop over time. Peat lingers delicately on the nose, giving this whisky a certain dryness.

 

Taste : 

The texture, created by slow distillation and the influence of Cognac oak, provides a buttery texture that continues throughout. Dried lemon and apricot combine with cinnamon and nutmeg, held together by the influence of toasted oak and sweet peat smoke.

 

Finish : 

The depth of flavor that the Cognac casks have imparted to the Kilchoman spirit is unmatched; dried fruit and marzipan give way to crystallized ginger, balancing sweetness and spice. The lingering peat smoke is softened by the influence of citrus oil, which is noticeable on the palate.
